CHAPTER THREE
The resurrection of Lola
She arrived as a shell. Body damage in the front. No engine worth keeping. We got to work — new engine, new transmission, new windows, new brakes, new tires. We added a battery bank powered by solar panels and the bus generator. AC/DC current. A bed. Storage. Power. We drove her all the way to Maine and back down the East Coast.
